Wall Journal ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What data we collect
- Account information — your email address and display name when you create an account.
- Journal entries and photos — the text, dates, locations, and images you add to your journal. This is your content and we treat it as private.
- Device push notification token — so we can send you optional daily prompts and order updates.
- Order and delivery details — recipient name and postal address when you place a print order.
- Usage data — standard Firebase Analytics data including app opens and feature usage (anonymised).
How we use it
- To provide and operate the Wall Journal service.
- To generate your print artwork and fulfil print orders via our partners.
- To send order status notifications (dispatch, delivery).
- To send optional daily journal prompts (you can turn these off in Settings).
- To improve the app and fix bugs.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your journal content for advertising. We do not share your photos with any third party except as needed to fulfil your print orders.
Third-party services
- Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, file storage, and hosting. Firebase Privacy
- Stripe — payment processing. We never see or store your card details. Stripe Privacy
- Peecho — print fulfilment for cards, books, and calendars. Your artwork and delivery address are shared only when you place an order.
- Tradeprint — print fulfilment for posters and stickers. Same conditions as above.
Data retention
- Your account data and journal entries are deleted when you delete your account.
- Order records are retained for 7 years for legal and accounting requirements, even after account deletion.
- Push notification tokens are removed on account deletion.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can delete your account from Settings → Danger Zone. For other requests, contact us below.
Cookies
The app itself does not use cookies. Our web hosting may set functional cookies required for secure sessions.
